Description: The Lost Pines Recovery tree planting project is an effort to reforest trees lost in the Bastrop Complex fires that burned over 33,000 acres of habitat within the Lost Pines ecosystem. This reforestation effort has been stimulated by the loss of over 1,600 homes and surrounding forest that is also home to the endangered Houston toad.
